Erin Smith

With 17 years of performance experience, Erin Smith possesses the ability not only to contribute to the creation of productions through costume, scenic, lighting, and movement design but also to meet the needs of performers through a mutual understanding.

Her work consists of multiple conceptualized costume designs for Dance Theatre South's ballet productions, such as the Huntress in Snow White, Arabian Lead in The Nutcracker, and Jafara in Arabian Nights. Additionally, Smith conceptualized and embellished costumes for dance solos.

During high school at Westwood Schools, Erin Smith participated in Drama Club and Literary Club where she won multiple awards such as GISA AA All State Outstanding Actor and GISA AA State Duo Interpretation. In addition to acting, Smith worked closely with the director, Azalee Vereen, by creating choreography, costumes, and sets for the school's productions. 

Currently, Erin Smith studies at the University of Georgia. There, she works on completing her Undergraduate degree in Theatre Design. While at the University of Georgia, Smith has taken classes in the field to further her experience. Some of these classes include Theatre Design, Costume Design, Scenic Painting, Makeup for Entertainment Arts, and Lighting Technology. In these courses, she has created mood boards, plots, rough sketches, painted flats, and final renderings. As a Senior, Smith works in the UGA Theatre Department's Costume Shop.
